Big News From Simms
Pretty big news from Simms Fishing Products this week. Effective November 15, retail prices on a large number of Simms products, in particular their higher ticket items like waders, boots, and technical outerwear will be revised to a more competitive level.
To give an example, a Simms G4 Pro Jacket that was $849.95 CDN just a few months ago is now $ 649.95 CDN.
Effective November 15, all of our products in store, and on our online store, will reflect the new, lower retail prices.
Christmas comes early for some.

Special Rates at Palometa Club
It’s hard to believe that the start of the 2017 season at the Palometa Club is right around the corner. Now that El Niño is long gone and a very mild winter appears to be in our future, we anticipate excellent spring-like conditions and awesome fishing during the early season.
We’re once again going to have a busy year, but we still have two weeks in January with openings. While discounts are rare for us, we’re excited to offer significantly reduced rates during the weeks of January 13-20 and January 20-27. This is a chance to jump on an $850 discount for a full week at Palometa Club. Shorter stay discounts are also an option as follows:
January Discount Recap

Fishing Reports - November 3
Bow
River Report – November 3, 2016
Fishing has continued to be good over the
last while. The number of big rainbows caught lately is amazing.
While nymphing provides the best
consistency, the streamer fishing has been good for the most part.
Not a ton of bugs around of late, but there
have been rising fish late in the day in a few places.
A Water Boatmen pattern fished as a nymph
or retrieved like a streamer has been working well. The grabs on these bugs are
spectacular. If you haven’t tried it you should.
The seven day forecast is as good as it
gets, more indicative of early September than November. You might want to get
out there.
Please note that our Brown Trout are moving
around and getting ready to spawn. Show respect and handle them carefully. #KEEPEMWET
Hatches:
Water Boatmen, BWO’s
Dry Flies: Wilcox Low Rider, Quigley’s Sparkle Flag-BWO,
Morrish October Caddis
Peacock Water Boatman
Streamers:
Taupe Leech, Bellydancer Zonker, Near Nuff Sculpin
Crowsnest
River Report – November 3, 2016
With the exceptionally great forecast for
the next seven days, a late season trip down to the Crow would be a fine idea.
Still likely to be a few rising fish around.
Try a Boatman patern in the slower sections
and tailouts.
Remember to check your regulations as
sectional closures are now in place.
#KEEPEMWET
Hatches: BWO’s, Water Boatmen
Dries: CDC
Winged Emerger-BWO, Wilcox Low Rider-BWO
Streamers: Medusa, Circus Peanut
High Country River Report – November 3, 2016
The East Slope Streams are now closed
through June 15, 2017.
