FISHING REPORTS

Bow River Report –September 7, 2011

Doesn’t feel much like September out there right now, more like early August. Unlike earlier in the year, we’re actually see rising fish here and there when there is bright sun.
The foam bug (Hopper) fishing has been, by all accounts, pretty darn good with rising fish in lots of places on Trico and Caddis. Any cloud cover will generate activity on the BWO’s.

If you want to fish a Hopper/Dropper, small to midsized tungsten bead nymphs are working best.

Great time of the year for sight fishing! Enjoy it now before the river bottom starts darkening up as fall progresses.
