Bow River Report –February 29, 2012
Hopefully I’m not jinxing things by saying this, but if weather patterns continue as they have, there may be some cool stuff starting to happen on the river in the coming weeks.
During our last batch of warmer days there were a lot more midges around and now the sun is around longer and has more punch which should mean a little higher afternoon water temps.
Fishing has been OK with streamers. When the weather has been abnormally warm, the afternoon streamer fishing has been very good at times.
Nymphing has been extremely good at times with stonefly nymphs being the “go to”.
Although there hasn’t been any substantiated reports of consistent dry fly fishing, with stable weather we should start to see some midging fish in the coming weeks.

Crowsnest River Report – February 29, 2012
Over the last several weeks, most of the reports from the Crow have been pretty good. With the warmer winter the ice cover is less than other years, offering more fishable water.
March and April can offer some pretty good fishing on the Crow, perfect to scrub off the winter doldrums. Get out there!
