Bow River Report –July 6, 2012
River dropped about 20 CMS yesterday. Down to about 305 CMS. Visibility around 8-10 inches. Guided trips over the last few days have done surprisingly well, with most fish being caught on Stonefly nymphs.
Streamer fishing has been pretty decent but you definitely need to get the fly down in the water column…not terribly easy at this flow rate!
We need just a little less water and a little more visibility for fish to start looking up and eating dry flies. Fished a foam bug on couple banks on Wednesday without much gratification but I did see a couple fish crash on Stoneflies during the day.
Overall, fishing is pretty good! Seen it a lot worse…..

High Country River Report – July 6, 2012
Most of the high country stuff is clearing pretty good but a little high for this time of year. Biggest thing is they are still very cold! Got a water temperature from Racehorse the other day….40 degrees Fahrenheit! Not so good for Cutthroat fishing. With the expected warm days coming up thing will improve!

Nymphs: Jimmy Legs - Dk. Brown #8, Hogan’s Rubber Stone-Golden #8
