Bow River Report –May 6, 2014
It just had to happen! The river was fishing really good last week. Kevin and Pete got out a few times and a number of customers were out. For the most part, reports were very good. Then winter came back!
With all of the snow and rain over the weekend, Fish Creek is a curious Mocha color. The Sheep and Highwood are both similar. The river above Fish Creek, although colored, is still somewhat fishable.
If things dry out like they say this week things should get better slowly. There were a decent number of rising fish before all the snow so they should get rolling again.
McKinnon`s road and launch area are in horrible shape and they say Carseland will not open in 2014. City launches and Policeman`s are OK.

Crowsnest River Report – May 6, 2014
It got really warm in the pass late last week and visibility dropped to around a foot. Then they got dumped on with snow over the weekend. As it warms that will likely mean it will take a few days for things to get sorted out.
We will try and keep up to date on the situation down there. Give us a call before you head down or call Vic at Crowsnest Angler (that’s what we do).
Check your regs for sectional closures on the Crow right now.
The Oldman, downstream of Waldron Bridge is open and fishable.
