Fishing Reports-September 18

Bow River Report –September 18, 2014

Other than an unexplained 60 cms bump at the end of last week, the river stayed in great shape after the week of winter. Below the Highwood has degraded since the weekend. It’s still fishable down there, it’s just down to about 18” visibility.

There have been good numbers of rising fish on the days with cloud, not as many on the sunny days. Kind of the usual deal.

Water Boatmen are showing up in a big way in the lower stretches. This is one of our favorite hatches/events every year.

Fish Creek launch is closed until around September 19 for repairs. McKinnon’s road will be closed to ALL access starting September 22 for road repairs. Sounds like it will be about a week.
