For those who have not heard, Barry Mitchell passed away this week. Barry was as much of a pioneer of our sport in Alberta as anyone we are aware of. Always helpful with information, never pretentious, and pretty much always smiling, Barry was always a pleasure to visit with.
He will be missed. Our condolences go out to the who Mitchell family. We are sure he's throwing dries right now.
I'm Barry's daughter, Jen. Thanks for your lovely comments. It has been an honour to receive so many lovely stories and tributes about him from those who knew him. We will miss him dearly but he has left us a legacy of love for the outdoors which we will carry forward.
