Bow
River Report –June 29, 2017
Looks like they turned the tap off…river
level is down to 155 cms and visibility is about two feet. Visibility should
get way clearer in the next week with lower levels.
Stoneflies are starting to get active, a
few shucks showing up on the banks and the fish are most certainly keyed up on
the nymphs.
Caddis hatches in the evenings have been
heavy. PMD’s have been showing up as well.
As we would expect, with a decent amount of
water for the first time since 2014, streamer fishing has been quite good, with
some really nice fish caught this past week.
Now that levels are a tad lower we should
see more rising fish on the smaller bugs and the big bugs should get going on
top as well.
Hatches:
Caddis, Stoneflies, PMD’s
Dry Flies: Chubby Chernobyl-Black/Tan #10, Berrett’s

Streamers:
