River Updates

The $64,000 question from customers for the last couple of days has been "how long will runoff last?". Wish we could offer some sort of precise information but it's a little early in the flush to know. Providing we don't get any more significant rain for a bit then river levels should start to drop. If we get heavy rain....restart!

As of this morning the Sheep and Highwood had dropped a fair bit and were not the dark brown of yesterday. More of a middle shade brown than dark brown.

The Bow at Banff dropped to 285 CMS, down from it's peak of 319 yesterday afternoon. The river at Calgary rolls along at a brisk 388 CMS. A little big for fishing. On the bright side, you don't have to back very far down the boat launches.

The Crow has dropped to 21 CMS, down from a peak of 28 on Wednesday.

Not the best weather forecast for Pike fishing this weekend with cooler temperatures.

Life will get better!
