Bow
River Report – March 30, 2016
All of this
great weather seems to be getting springtime activities geared up. The last
week has seen a bunch more fish rising to midges, and there have been a decent
number of Skwalas kicking around.
Nymphing
continues to be pretty consistent, with deep rigs working the best.
Streamers have
been working good as well. A number of people have been dead drifting small
leech patterns and doing very well.
Hatches: Midges, Skwalas
Dry Flies: Wilcox
Micro Midge, Griffiths Gnat, Salinga’s Low Rider Skwala,
Bitterfork Skwala
Nymphs: Atomic Worm, Bubble Gum Worm, Conestone, Ice
Nymph, Zebra
Midge, Super Pupa-Olive
Crowsnest
River Report – March 30, 2016
The Crow, and Oldman, have been fishing
pretty well of late. Check the wind forecasts before heading down. Reports of
rising fish on both the Crow and Lower Oldman. The Crowsnest is very low right
now but this week’s snow may help with that.
Sectional closures now in place until June
16, 2016. Check your regs.
Hatches: Midges
Dries: Griffiths
Gnat, Neversink Gnat, Wilcox Micro Midge
Streamers: Gartside Leech, C/H R/L Bow River Bugger
High Country River Report – March 30, 2016
