Bow
River Report – July 13, 2015
Mother Nature
helped out a little over the last couple of days, providing some rainfall that
will cool things down a little. Cooler weather forecast for this week will be a
big help as well.
Water
temperatures in the shallow water along the banks has been pretty warm, so you’re
not going to find many fish in those structures.
Mid-river
structures, bars, and riffles are your best bet.
Still getting a
decent number of eats on the Stonefly patterns (foam), but you have to work at
it and focus on heavier flow areas like heavy seams, bars, and riffles.
The rising fish
thing has been pretty tough in the last number of days. Lot of bugs, no snouts.
That may come around with this cooler weather,
Streamer fishing
has been good all this last week. Yesterday’s cloudy day provided a really good
streamer day.
We recommend
that anglers play fish as quickly as possible, not taking the fish out of the
water. Until things cool down a little please skip that fish photo and get
them back on their way.
