Bow
River Report – July 6, 2015
The hail that
fell in the city on Saturday, combined with two cooler days and nights, has
helped our water temperature somewhat. The flow being up to about 113 cms from
83 cms doesn’t hurt either.
The last 4 or 5
days have seen a real degradation in the early day Stonefly dry program. It
just hasn’t been all that good. It’s been just as good during the day, spending
time fishing riffles and bars.
Still a good
number of fish up on Caddis here and there, and there’s lots of Caddis around.
PMD’s seem to be about done.
And number one
in the “what the heck” category, there’s already Tricos below McKinnons.
Nymphing
continues to be pretty decent, with Stonefly nymphs producing, although Caddis
Pupa type nymphs like the Tung Dart and Super Pupa are coming on strong.
The streamer
fishing has been a very bright spot over the last couple days. It’s been pretty
good.
