Best Fly Tying Book This Season

NOW IN!

Over the past 7 years, Greg Senyo developed an overwhelming customer base through his company Steelhead Alley Outfitters; the demand for many of his patterns has surpassed the supply. Because of this, he has generously written a step-by-step how-to guide to tying your own flies. Modern Steelhead and Salmon Flies will highlight 35 of the author’s signature and proven steelhead flies used across the Great Lakes, Pacific North West, Canada, Alaska – also Atlantic salmon and Lake Run Browns, tapping into and keeping up with today’s current and growing synthetic material market. Each fly design will be a visual and simulating guide through high resolution and complete step-by-step photography.

Teaches you how to work with synthetic materials that include the use of shanks, heavy wire, fish skulls and fish Masks, synthetic hackles and hair, new age flash, while also incorporating beads/metal components, forming and using new epoxy techniques, Copic air brushing and dying techniques, and a host of signature synthetic fibers and dubbings. With these new skills, the potential and creative possibilities of each fly-tying project will be greatly increased, while still maintaining traditional fly-tying disciplines. Full Color; 8.5x11 inches, 344 pgs.

SIGHTCAST - LOS ROQUES, VENEZUELA
*JANUARY 17-24, 2015

Technically an atoll within the Lesser Antilles, the Los Roques' fly fishing region is made up of more than 300 cays, with a vast diversity of saltwater habitats including magnificent coral beds, grass and hard sand flats, pristine beaches, and remarkable "pancake" flats. Better yet, nearly all of the flats fishing is done while wading. While the area abounds with tarpon, barracuda, and jacks, it is the world-class bonefishing that draws anglers back year after year.

Similar to Christmas Island, Los Roques is blessed with consistent weather and water temperatures, not to mention high fish counts. Bonefish average 4 pounds with numerous fish in the 6 to 10 pound class. Meals and accommodations at Acuarela Lodge are greatly enjoyed by anglers and discerning non-anglers alike. For anglers who love flats fishing and to wade fish for high numbers of good sized bonefish, Los Roques is truly one of the finest flats fishing destinations in the world today. Stays of varying lengths are available. Chris Yrazabal, owner of Sight Cast, is a fourteen-year veteran to guiding the Los Roques region

Just Arrived In Time For Steelhead Season!

SKAGIT MASTER VOLUME 3 STEELHEAD FLIES BEYOND THE BOOKS

"Presents modern concepts in steelhead fly design. No single steelhead pattern is a silver bullet. Confidence in the fly you choose plays a major role in your success. Much more than a fly tying film: The steelheaders in the show invite you into their world. Steelhead flies showcased: The Grizzly Bear, Reverse Marabou, Orange Blossom, Fish Taco, Underachiever, Ska-opper and an Ed Ward Intruder."

Thinking beyond what you learned in the "how to" books of the past often results in some cool fly concepts. Skagit Master 3 features a few modern patterns and the steelheaders who tie them: Hannah Belford, Tom Larimer, Eric Neufeld, Jeff Hickman, Ed Hepp and of course Scott Howell, Ed Ward and Jerry French.

Now in Stock!
